we've installed Honeywell science lab kit in the following schools around Mysore
Govt High School - Chilkunda
Only 2 staffs were there and they were not fully aware of the lab which has been installed. We could not see the lab as the principal was out of station an d the key was with him. In the school, only biology teacher was there and they also mentioned that there is no other science teacher appointed.
Students feedback: They mentioned that they did experiments on microscope, and they knew about body parts as they had biology practicals.
Govt Higer primary school chilkunda( Std 1st to 7th )
School was closed by 11.30 itself. So, we could not visit the same.
Govt High School Kamalapura
Not yet Installed the kit. Boxes are not yet open. They’ve kept in a separate room. They’d get some furniture this week to install the kit. They already had a science lab with minimal equipments which are provided by the govertment. They had ample number of microscopes. The teachers were requesting for training and we had told them about the teacher tarining programme.

Govt Higer primary school Kamalapura ( Std 1st to 7th )
School was closed by the time of our visit. We have contacted the focal of incharge. They said they cannot come by the time. They were required prior notice for our visit.
Govt High School Dodde Bellalu
We’ve called the HM and asked them to stay for us. Physics Equipments were used very well. The teacher have demonstrated our equipments and students are well aware of those equipments. Wanted to appreciate the facility of Physics. Our microscopes were piled up in their almirah along with government’s science lab setup. They don’t have separate room for science lab. All things are kept in HM’s room. Most of the Chemicals are not open yet. They mentioned that they would be using more of it during the revisions and next year. They had also registered all the equipments in the office ledgers.
Students feedback: Students are aware of physics equipments, they did experiments on microscope, and they had done biology practicals.
Govt Higer primary school Dodde Bellalu ( Std 1st to 7th )
They have the kit installed. But they had mentioned that they use only the microscope. The equipments are not of much use for 7th syllabus. They doubt if they would ever be used also.
Improvement Areas observed.
1)Our science lab kit has to be redesigned as per the syllabus of Karnataka govt and we can skip some of our equipments which government has already provided.
2) It would be better if we do not install the kits for higher primary schools as our kit is not useful for 7th std syllabus.
